Welcome Woodhaven High School students and parents! One of my teaching philosophies is based upon building strong relationships with my students.  I feel that by staying transparent and being honest with my students, I am better equipped to teach them.  In an effort to do so, I always provide my kids with a glimpse into my life and background.
I am currently in my 17th year of teaching in WBSD.  I got my start at Yake Elementary  as a special education teacher.  I moved to WHS in 2007 while continuing in the special education department and have remained here ever since. I am a graduate of Lincoln Park High School and played college softball while earning my BA from Concordia University Ann Arbor in Secondary Education with a major in Psychology and a minor in Social Studies.  I earned a Master's degree in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University in 2006 and an Education Specialist Degree in Special Education Administration from Wayne State University in 2013. I have a 9 year old son with my wonderful husband of 15 years.  We also have 2 crazy dogs that have taken over our home! I love my job and look forward to working with you and your family.
